Not much progress this month. Cheap, fast, good, pick two.
Well, the moment of truth: the first two days of shooting. Got 15 out of 19 pages shot, good deal. The hvx eats more light than I thought, gonna have to rethink how to do some night lighting.
Looks like I’ve got all my actors. Drew up an eight day shooting schedule, but it’ll probably end up as four fulls and eight half days in coordinating people. Was gonna start this weekend but looks like I’ll have to push it back one.
Well, managed to get five actors so far. Good deal.
Did a test reading of the script, though, and came in way under what I need. Not sure what to do about that.
Went up to Columbia to try and find some actors, no such luck.
Been playing a little go. Gotten to the point where I can beat the computer…on its lowest setting with a nine stone handicap. But it was consistently whupping me before so any progress is encouraging.
Interesting, especially the part about bundled DV Rack functionality.
It took longer than expected, but my first feature script is done.
Now, to find some people and shoot the thing.
Cleaned up my css, squashing an IE parsing bug that’s been driving me nuts for years. Good times.
Another year. A bunch of cool stuff on the technology front:
1TB hard drives. Format a little shy, but whatever. ZFS is coming in leopard, which has inspired me to abandon all my current storage plans and wait. My brother got an intel machine w/ parallels, and I must say that coherence is damn sexy. Maybe we’ll finally see Final Touch as part of Final Cut and the long rumored Phenomena at NAB.
